The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations protects individuals who are planning to move from one state to another. They require Motor Carriers of Household Goods to supply their customers with access to content that ensures their understanding of the terms and conditions of the contract, and to understand what options are available if there is an issue during the move. Registered movers are required by federal regulations to provide their customers with two documents, The Rights and Responsibilities handbook and the Ready to Move? brochure.
